MLB (0.5 Unit) NY Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles -0.5 First 5 Innings (+105; Odds via Caesars): 6:10 PM CT on ESPN
There’s just a vast difference in the results when these starting pitchers take the mound for their teams. That’s why I’m targeting the early portion of this game as I like Baltimore to grab an early lead here. The Orioles definitely know how to get to Yankees starter Luis Severino, as they have a cumulative .349 average and 1.029 OPS against him. They also knocked him around earlier this month for 7 runs in less than 3 innings, and Severino has not been sharp lately to say the least.
Obviously the Yankees are far better with Aaron Judge having returned to the lineup, and they showed some offensive pop last night. But the Orioles are simply a winning ball club when Dean Kremer takes the mound, going 12-3 in his past 15 starts, and they’re 2-0 against New York this season when he starts. I trust him a lot more than Severino even with a rejuvenated Yankee lineup, and I think the O’s get rolling early in this high-profile regular season finale between the clubs.
